Petra Jewellery Design™ was founded in 2005 and focusses on the design and manufacture of bespoke fine jewellery.
“Expertly designed and handcrafted”
Our jewellery is generally hand-manufactured in gold, palladium, or platinum, as well as wedding bands in titanium. If required we offer CAD rendering and manufacture in gold, palladium, and platinum.
We are happy to remodel old jewellery or use the metal and gemstones to create something new. If the metal cannot be used, then it is credited towards the cost.
“Custom-made bespoke jewellery”
We make use of ethically sourced diamonds and precious gemstones, mostly from local suppliers, and we also offer Charles & Colvard Created Moissanite as a gemstone alternative for engagement rings and wedding bands.
While we do not claim to be the cheapest jeweller in town or being part of the “half the retail price brigade”, our aim is to offer great quality and craftsmanship at a fair price. We refuse to use the cheapest metal alloys and we will never offer you a diamond or gemstone that is of inferior quality. We also try to support local suppliers as much as possible.

ABOUT PETRA
Petra Jewellery Design™ is owned by Petra Bierberg, a professional jewellery designer, jeweller and trained goldsmith.
Petra studied jewellery design and manufacture in Cape Town, South Africa and gained her practical experience as a goldsmith working in Namibia and later in Cape Town. She then focused her skills on custom jewellery design and sales, and furthered her education by attending professional courses in diamond grading and diamond retailing.

In 2004 Petra was chosen as the overall winner of the Professional Designer Category in the South African Jewellery Council Collection Awards, which sparked the desire to start her own company and Petra Jewellery Design™ was established in 2005.
As a professional jewellery designer, she is renowned for her careful consideration of the clients’ expectations in her creations while her experience as a jeweller and goldsmith gives her a solid understanding of the construction and craftsmanship of each piece of contemporary jewellery created. Petra enjoys interacting with her clients and interpreting their ideas into unique designs and beautiful pieces of jewellery.
